A collection of references to the 9th of September across the centuries, gathered from various works of fiction, diaries and dreams. Focusing on a single, unexceptional date becomes an experiment in coincidence, in finding meanings where none exist. Various unintended parallels emerge over the course of these pages: invisible beings, hauntings, murders, eternity, nothingness...

As with several other Caterwen Press publications, Collecting the Ninth of September is less a completed work than an ongoing game.
